I posted an earlier blog ‘When bikes are not insured’ after a rather expensive Trek Emonda was hit by a scooter with no insurance. This left the customer with little choice but to attempt a repair as it was still the cheapest route.

What was repaired: Every stay on the rear triangle was fractured. The chain stay on the drive side was snapped at the BB. The chainstay on the non-drive side was severed and about 1″ of carbon was missing in and around the speed/ cadence sensor. We had to recreate the detail and profile.

After a series of restoration processes and re-alignment the bike is back as it was. It has passed the stress tests to ensure it is safe to release.
